Vic cops arrest 69 over student robberies

Police have arrested 69 people allegedly involved in a crime spree targeting mostly Chinese students around the University of Melbourne.

Since January, the gang have been targeting people around the University of Melbourne's Carlton campus, with mostly Chinese students robbed for their mobile phones and other personal belongings.

Police on Thursday said they have arrested 56 offenders for theft and 13 for robbery over the incidents.
