Vic cop on deception charge

A police sergeant in Victoria has been charged with deception offences and suspended on full pay.

The male sergeant, from the state's west, was the subject of an internal investigation and now faces charges including obtaining financial advantage by deception.

He will face Mildura Magistrates Court in January.
