Vic cop injured in training fall

A Victorian policeman has suffered serious injuries after falling up to 30 metres during a training exercise.

Ambulance Victoria says the senior constable, aged in his 20s, fell between 20 and 30 metres during the exercise in Werribee on Thursday afternoon.

He was flown to hospital in a serious but stable condition with spinal, pelvic and leg injuries.

Police would not confirm the nature of the exercise.
