VICTORIAN BUDGET: LAW AND ORDER

* $2 billion over four years to boost police numbers and build 10 new stations

* $308 million to deal with serious violent offenders, including rigorous monitoring and a new secure facility

* $74 million for new prison infrastructure and upgrades

* $41 million for programs to reduce reoffending, including drug and alcohol treatment

* $72 million for improved intelligence across youth justice centres and fortification of the Malmsbury and Parkville centres

* $14.5 million for community legal services

* $15 million for Victorian Legal Aid to provide more youth services

* $3.4 million for a Fast Track Remand Court in the Children's Court

* $22 million for more court mental health services
