Victorian baby-seat factory workers who have walked off the job for five days are set to protest outside a pregnancy expo.

Britax workers walked off the job on August 15, worried their jobs will go as the company looks to send production of its baby seats offshore to China.

Britax is reportedly planning to make the first workers redundant in January 2017, according to the Australian Workers' Union.

Workers are set to rally outside the Pregnancy, Babies and Children's Expo at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday over the measure.

The workers claim Britax's Sunshine factory, which has been in business for more than 50 years, is still profitable.

Australian Workers' Union acting Victorian secretary Liam O'Brien said Britax "was seeking even larger returns by moving to China".

Workers have been protesting outside the gates of the Sunshine factory for five days.

The Fair Work Commission has ordered the workers to return to work.
