Vic apprentices more likely to drop out

Victorian trade apprentices are more likely to drop out than complete their training.

Just 42 per cent of trade apprentices who were due to complete their training last year actually did, new figures reveal.

Statistics from the National Centre for Vocational Education Research show engineering has the highest completion rate at 60 per cent, while less than 40 per cent of food industry and hairdressing apprentices complete their training.
