Uber fares increase in Melbourne

Ride-sharing company Uber will increase minimum fare costs and introduce a booking fee for all trips in Melbourne.
The company told Fairfax Radio it plans to charge a minimum trip fee of $6.95, up from the $6 fee currently in place and add a 55c booking fee to all trips.
The price increases are expected to be introduced on June 9.
