Two people killed in car crash in regional Victoria

Two people have died after their car struck a tree in the town of Woori Yallock this afternoon.

Police believe the 4WD was travelling on Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road just after 2.30pm when it veered off the road, rolled and struck a tree.

Two passengers seated in the rear of the vehicle died at the scene.

The third rear passenger has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition, police said.

The driver and front seat passenger have been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
