Two offenders on the run after series of carjackings through Melbourne's south

Two people are on the run after a series of carjackings and a police pursuit through Melbourne's south.

Police said a Honda was first spotted on the Princes Highway in Springvale driving erratically, before the vehicle took off about 1.30pm.

It was followed by police through the south-eastern suburbs before the offenders dumped the vehicle and carjacked three people.

The first was at the intersection of Parkers Road and Nepean Highway in Parkdale, the second was stolen on Clayton Road in Clayton South, and the third was stolen on Boundary Road in Dingley.

The stolen vehicles driven by the pair also collided with a number of other cars, including one belonging to police.

The offenders carjacked a fourth vehicle on busy Hoddle Street in Richmond and travelled city bound.

Police said that vehicle, a silver 2009 Ford Falcon station wagon with registration XBX545, is yet to be located.

No one was seriously injured during the carjackings and collisions.
