Two men knocked out in Melbourne brawl

Two men have been knocked unconscious after they were set upon by a group outside a Melbourne venue.

Police say a man tried to force two women to kiss at a licensed venue on Sydney Road, Brunswick when their boyfriends came to their rescue.

The man was ejected by security but, joined by a group of men, confronted the boyfriends as they left the venue.

The two men were assaulted by the group, knocked unconscious and then kicked in the head, police say.

The Reservoir men, aged 21 and 23, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
