Two men in court over blinding Vic assault
Two young men accused of blinding a scientist in one eye in an assault at a Melbourne nightclub are set to return to court.
Brent Moresco, 19, and Bradley Elmore-Jeffries, 21, were charged with a number of offences after 26-year-old Elliot Harvey was assaulted at Brunswick on May 27.
Mr Harvey, who lives at Rosebud, underwent multiple operations on his right eye and was unable to return to work as an environmental scientist.
On the night of the incident, the accused men allegedly took offence to Mr Harvey's man-bun hairdo and punched him in the head.
The Wonthaggi pair fled before police arrived but were arrested the following week after investigators released CCTV footage.
They are expected to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday for a committal mention.
