Two face Vic court on murder charge

Two people have faced court in Victoria accused of murdering a man in Epping last October, with one accused also facing a charge for attempting to murder the victim three months earlier.

Arum Kamalasanan, 34, and Sofia Sam, 32, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday after being charged over the death of Sam Abraham between October 13 and October 14 last year.

Magistrate Suzie Cameron heard police would need extra time to assemble the brief as months of intercepted phone calls needed to be translated and analysed.
