Victorian trucker films car with 'bald tyres' slam into wall

A truck driver's quick reflexes have helped avoid a disaster on a Victorian freeway after an out of control car swerved across three lanes of traffic and slammed into a wall.

Footage of the frightening incident was captured by truckie and posted on the popular Facebook page Dashcam Owners Australia yesterday.

The video shows a white Holden Commodore carrying four people quickly moving from the far right lane to the lane on the far left and losing control.

The vehicle fish tails back and forth quickly and when the driver tries to halt the sliding he appears to overcorrect and sends the car swerving across three lanes and into the dividing barrier.

The commodore slams into the wall head on and then comes to a halt in front of the oncoming truck.

The truck driver said "thank god there was no baby in the baby seat" on Facebook.

"Tyres on the car where completely bald."

It is unclear if the driver of the Commodore was charged over the incident.
