A beach shelter trailer containing $25,000 worth of equipment, including essential first aid supplies, has been stolen from outside a Victorian lifesaving club.

The trailer, which is stationed at the Anglesea Surf Lifesaving Club carpark and is also used for surf boat carnivals, disappeared from the area sometime at night on Tuesday, January 5.

Victorian Surf Rowers League President Matt Culka said the goods in the trailer - spinal boards, anchors, buoys, a PA system, referee materials, first aid kits - would be "useless" to individuals.
