Tight CSIRO budget part of life: Thodey

Great science and technology breakthroughs are possible within a tighter budget, CSIRO's new chairman David Thodey believes.
"Hey, I'm a businessman and cost management is a part of life," the outgoing Telstra boss told AAP on Thursday.
"What I'm more interested in is what value will be created - that's what we need to focus on and how we can do it efficiently."
