Three Vic homes hit by molotov thrower

Three neighbouring homes in Thomastown, in Melbourne's north, have been hit by molotov cocktails.

In one of the homes, the incendiary devices was thrown at a bedroom window, smashing it and setting fire to curtains and carpet.

There was no-one sleeping in the room and the home's occupants were alerted by a smoke alarm.

Garden plants were burned and smoke damage also occurred at the other properties.

Police are investigating the incident, which occurred about 3am on Friday.

"No-one was injured in the attack and thankfully property damage was minimal considering the potential," say Victoria Police, who have established a crime scene.
