Three rescued after Vic boat capsizes
AAP
Two men and a seven-year-old boy spent more than an hour in the water before being rescued after a fishing trip went horribly wrong south of Melbourne.
The three were returning to Stony Point on Monday night when their boat struck a sand bank and started sinking, forcing them into the water in life jackets.
One of the men sent a VHF distress call, set off a number of red flares and activated an EPIRB, which led to their rescue by Volunteer Marine Rescue.
