Car crashes into Victorian shopping centre

Three people have been taken to hospital after a car smashed through the glass doors of a major shopping centre in Victoria.

The car, driven by a man in his 60s, hit an elderly couple when it crashed at Westfield Geelong at about 10.45am.

Courier Sean Talbot says the car smashed into a security bollard outside the centre, before ploughing through centre's sliding doors and into the side wall of a shop.

"The bollard was snapped back in its mooring, but was wedged out by security," he told AAP on Thursday.

Paramedics have taken a man with neck and chest pain, a woman with back pain, and another man to Geelong Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating the crash.
