Third murder charge over Melb stab death

A third person has been charged with murder over a fatal stabbing in Melbourne last year.

The 20-year-old Melbourne man was charged on Friday with murder, armed robbery and intentionally causing serious injury over the attack on two teens at Kings Park on September 28.

He was arrested in Sydney on Wednesday and extradited to Victoria, where he is due to face Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.

Two other males, 17 and 18, were charged in October over the attack.

Maaka Hakiwai, 17, died in hospital following the altercation, while his 18-year-old brother Nate was seriously injured.
