Teen dead, one critical in Vic crash

A 17-year-old has died while another is fighting for life after the car they were in smashed into a tree in Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
Five young men were travelling in the Mazda hatchback when it crashed at Tootgarook about 1.15am.
One passenger died in the incident while another 17-year-old was taken to a Melbourne hospital critically injured.

A third 17-year-old is in hospital in a serious condition.
The driver, a 21-year-old man, and a fourth passenger, a 17-year-old were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined, police remain on scene and road closures are in place.
