Sweet treat lands Vic driver in trouble

A man with a sweet tooth who ate a McDonald's dessert while driving on a Melbourne freeway has left police in a McFlurry and put his car in the cooler for a month.

Highway patrol police were shocked when they saw the driver tucking into his McFlurry ice-cream sundae with both hands as he steered his Toyota Corolla with his knees down the Princes Freeway at Point Cook about 4pm on Thursday.

The Hoppers Crossing man, aged in his 20s, is expected to be charged on summons with driving while suspended, careless driving and other traffic offences, and his car was impounded on the spot for 30 days.
