Suspicious fire destroys vacant Vic house

A fire that destroyed a vacant house in Melbourne's outer east is being treated as suspicious.

Fire crews arrived to find the back half of the Ringwood house alight after 3am on Thursday and called for backup to help fight the blaze.

Police will investigate the cause of the fire.
