Suspicious fire destroys Melbourne house

A suspicious fire has razed a Melbourne house on the same street where a woman was shot last week.

Emergency crews found the house in Meadow heights fully alight when they arrived on Wednesday night, but police say no one was inside and there are no reports of injuries.

An arson chemist will inspect the scene on Thursday, and police say they are investigating if there are any links to last week's shooting of a woman in the leg in that street.
