Suspicious fire at Melbourne restaurant

A suspicious fire has damaged a Melbourne restaurant.

Firefighters found an airconditioner unit and awning ablaze when they arrived at the Richmond restaurant early on Wednesday.

The building has been smoke damaged and been declared a crime scene by police.
