Student pleads guilty over flight drama

A university student who was removed from a plane for interfering with a crew member while protesting the deportation of an asylum seeker from Australia has pleaded guilty in a Melbourne court.
Jasmine Pilbrow, 22, briefly appeared before Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with interference with a crew member of an aircraft in February last year.
Ms Pilbrow does not dispute claims she refused to sit down on a flight from Melbourne to Darwin unless a Tamil man, who was being deported, was allowed to leave the Qantas plane, and she will return to court on September 2.
