A Victorian man faces drug and theft charges after police found a large stolen Christmas star atop a 25-metre-tall gum tree in his backyard.
Police tracked down the yellow star - which was allegedly stolen from a community display - following numerous tip-offs from the public in Kerang.
The 24-year-old man was arrested and interviewed on Wednesday and has since been charged with cultivating a narcotic, possessing cannabis and theft, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said in a statement on Friday.
