State memorial for Vic premier John Cain

Victoria's longest-serving Labor premier John Cain will be farewelled at a state memorial service.
The state's 41st premier died on December 23, aged 88, after suffering a stroke.
Premier Daniel Andrews on Tuesday announced the memorial will be held on February 3 at St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne, with family, friends and members of the public encourage to attend.

In lieu of floral tributes, Mr Cain's family has requested that people consider making a donation to support the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
