Suspect arrested after Melbourne stand-off

A man wanted for questioning over a fatal stabbing has been arrested after an eight-hour stand-off with police in Melbourne.
The 21-year-old walked out of an Altona North property around 10.30am on Tuesday.
"The North Carlton man was arrested without incident and is currently in custody, assisting Homicide Squad detectives with their investigation," Victoria Police said.

Police had gone to the home around 2am after a tip-off.
A 24-year-old Altona North woman, who was also at the home, was assessed by paramedics.
The man was wanted for questioning over a fight on Sunday afternoon in which another man, 46, was fatally stabbed in the torso on a busy street.
