Speedy Mercedes driver has car impounded
AAP
A man allegedly clocked by Victorian police driving at 70km/h over the speed limit in suburban Geelong has lost his Mercedes for a month.
Central state highway patrol police say they intercepted the 25-year-old driver doing 130km/h in a 60km/h zone on Anakie Road at Norlane and immediately impounded his 2002 Mercedes for 30 days under Victoria's anti-hoon legislation.
It's expected he will be charged on summons with speeding offences.
