Man killed in skydiving accident named as police sergeant
A skydiver who died after crash landing in Victoria's south-east has been named as police Sergeant Paul Algie, 45.
Algie was performing a jump when he got into difficulty and crash landed about 1.15pm on Saturday on Airfield Road in the the Latrobe Valley area of Gippsland, police said.

His son, Declan, wrote online: "You're forever in my heart, love you always Dad." Nine
He was known for his smiling face and willingness to help others, Victoria Police said.
The father was an experienced skydiver and instructor, and an avid cyclist
His son Declan wrote online: "You're forever in my heart, love you always Dad."
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
