Six swimmers rescued from Melbourne bay

Six people have been rescued while clinging to a boogie board in Melbourne's Port Phillip Bay.
Three adults and three children went swimming in the Patterson River at Carrum about 8.30pm on Friday before being swept into the bay.
An off-duty nurse, off-duty life saver and police jumped into the water to rescue the group, who were clinging to a boogie board.

No one was seriously injured but a 20-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were taken to hospital for observation.
