Victoria Police's bikie gang taskforce detectives and the heavily armed Special Operations Group arrested a man and a woman at the intersection of Huntingdale and Ferntree Gully roads in Oakleigh on Wednesday afternoon.

The 26-year-old Narre Warren man and 23-year-old woman of no fixed address are speaking to police.

A business next door told AAP they had never had any issues with the brothel, which is on a suburban shopping strip in a residential neighbourhood.

It is 500 metres up the road from the Kittens strip club, which was firebombed on February 16 in what police said was a bikie attack related to security industry contracts.
