Shot fired in Vic home invasion

Two people have escaped unharmed after confronting three armed men who had broken into their home on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

The men entered a Hastings house, on the Mornington Peninsula, early on Tuesday while the occupants were sleeping.

A 20-year-old man confronted the intruders while a woman called police and a shot was fired before the men fled without stealing anything or causing injury.
