Shark spotted swimming in waters off popular Melbourne beach

A shark has been spotted off the shore of a popular beach in Melbourne’s south this morning.
Witnesses reported seeing the shark around 8.30am on Elwood Beach, just south of St Kilda.
The sighting comes just days after another confirmed shark sighting at St Kilda Beach.

Elwood Beach was not closed or evacuated because it was not being patrolled at the time.
Witnesses said no one was swimming at the time, but some unsuspecting paddle boarders were quickly waved away from the area.
