Severe weather for Victorian alpine region
AAP
Victoria's alpine region is set to be hit by damaging winds and heavy rain, which could lead to possible flooding as snow melts.
A severe weather warning has been issued for the northeast of the state with a strong cold front moving in on Tuesday afternoon, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
Alpine areas could experience gusts up to 110km/h with a possible 70mm of rain possibly causing localised flash flooding, which is set to ease by Wednesday morning.
