Senior Victorian cop under investigation

An off-duty senior officer is being investigated after being taken away in the back of a police van following an incident with colleagues in Melbourne's east.
The detective inspector and divisional van police members had "an incident" in the early hours of Sunday on Burwood Highway in Wantirna and Professional Standards Command is now investigating, the force confirmed on Thursday.
A caller to 3AW told the radio station he saw the man being taken away in the back of a police vehicle.
