Senior Vic cop suspended for alleged theft

A senior Victorian policeman has been suspended after he was charged with stealing a bicycle.
The 61-year-old senior sergeant from Victoria's west has been charged with the theft of a bicycle, helmet and cycling shoes, police said on Friday.
The senior policeman has been suspended without pay after he was charged with the offences on April 11, and will appear before Geelong Magistrates Court on May 31.
