Search for owner of WWII medal

The search is on to reunite a WWII medal discovered in Victoria with its owner.

Police hope they can find the owner of the Australia Service Medal that was found in a caravan park in Mildura and handed to police on Monday.

"The ribbon is a bit worn so it's clear it's from that era," a police spokeswoman told AAP on Wednesday.
