Sausages to sizzle in Vic on Aust Day

The sausages will be sizzling on Australia Day, so everyone at Victoria's NudeManFest better put on sunscreen.

The festival exclusively for naked men in Tatong is just one of hundreds of events that will mark Australia Day around the state on January 26.

Anyone looking for a sausage fest of the more traditional kind can check the Victorian government's Australia Day website for a list of public celebrations and barbecues.

Melbourne's Lord Mayor Robert Doyle will present new citizens with their certificates at the Melbourne Town Hall, before the official parade to the Kings Domain Gardens.

"More than 100 community and cultural groups (will) come together and participate in this spectacular annual event," Victoria's Australia Day website says.

Docklands will host a food truck festival from 4pm to 11pm, while a fireworks display will light up Victor Harbour from 9.45pm.

Melbourne Victory will host Sydney FC at Etihad Stadium in their Australia Day clash, while the Australian Open tennis will continue at Melbourne Park.

Thousands of people will also become Australian citizens at ceremonies around Victoria.
