Domestic violence campaigner Rosie Batty will call for relationship education to be included in school curriculums when she gives evidence at the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence on Monday.

The Australian of the Year is also expected to speak about the spread of domestic violence, the culture that supports violence and what she thinks needs to be done to tackle the issue.

The royal commission was a 2014 election promise by Premier Daniel Andrews, after the murder of Ms Batty's young son Luke.

The 11-year-old was killed by his father at cricket training early last year.
