Ricky Nixon case dismissed by Vic court

Disgraced former AFL agent Ricky Nixon has followed through with his promise to be of good behaviour for six months after breaking a number of traffic rules.

Nixon, who was once infamously caught up in a sex scandal with a schoolgirl, escaped conviction last November for a host of minor charges.

At the time, he pleaded guilty to failing to stop at red traffic lights in 2013, four speeding charges between 2013 to 2017 and using a handheld mobile phone while driving in 2016.

Nixon also pleaded guilty to failing to have a safety flare on his boat during a trip on Port Phillip Bay in 2014.

At the time, he was ordered to pay $250 of Port Phillip Council's $754 legal costs and a $300 fine without conviction.

He was also ordered to be of good behaviour until May 2019.

A bond hearing was held for Nixon on Thursday, during which judicial registrar Angela Soldani said he had been compliant and that his matter was dismissed.

Nixon did not appear in court for Thursday's brief administrative hearing.

The 56-year-old, who managed some of the AFL's biggest players, was deregistered by the league in 2011 after a sex scandal involving a 17-year-old girl, when footage surface of Nixon in his underwear in the girl's hotel room.

In 2013, he was sentenced to a 24-month community corrections order for assaulting his former fiancee Tegan Gould.

He has also faced court on a number of occasions over the years for previous traffic offences, including driving while suspended in 2011, for talking on his phone while driving in 2010, and crashing his car into a tram in 2009.
