Qld man charged after Vic taxi-jacking

A Queensland man, who allegedly carjacked a taxi driver and then stole another car in Melbourne, has been charged.

The man, 26, was arrested on Thursday at Melbourne Airport, where police allege he arrived in a car stolen only hours earlier.

He is also accused of dragging a 33-year-old taxi driver from his cab on Sunday and driving off, before dumping it on Bendigo-Sutton Grange Road in Harcourt.

The man faces several charges including robbery and criminal damage and will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday.
