Punched Vic man still battling for life
A man remains in a critical condition after being punched in the heart of Melbourne earlier this month, and police are recruiting the public to help them apprehend whoever was responsible.
It's believed the 28-year-old was approached by a group of unknown men on the corner of Clarendon Street and City Road on January 19, before he was punched and fell to the ground, hitting his head on concrete.
The Footscray West man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in a critical condition almost a fortnight later.
Police have made no arrests so far and have asked anyone who may have witnessed the attack or have dashcam footage of the area between 1:30am and 1:45am on the day to contact them.
