Police van rammed in Melbourne

A police van has been rammed and extensively damaged as officers investigated reports of a suspicious car at a Melbourne hotel.

Neither officer was injured when the driver of the maroon Ford reversed into the front of the van at Langwarrin early on Friday morning.

The driver fled towards Warrandyte Road, but his female passenger is helping police.
