Melbourne police are targeting jaywalkers after figures showed most pedestrians injured on a busy Melbourne street had crossed illegally.
Police will saturate Reservoir and Northcote over the next six months, targeting pedestrian offences and safety along High Street.
Acting Sergeant Scott Cowan said statistics showed that the majority of pedestrians injured while crossing High Street were within 30 metres of a pedestrian crossing.
