Seven people have been charged with drug trafficking following an undercover police operation on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

Police on Thursday said the group was arrested in a series of raids in Tootagrook, Rosebud and Rye last week following the police operation that centred on a Rosebud hotel.

They have since been charged with trafficking and possession offences.
