Pedestrian struck by car in Melbourne

A man is fighting for his life after he was hit by a car in northwest Melbourne.

The 26-year-old was struck on Kings Park Rd at Kings Park about 6.30pm on Wednesday, police say. The driver of the car, a 30-year-old Hillside woman, had been changing lanes at the time of the collision.

The man, from Deer Park, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police are calling for witnesses to come forward.
