Pedestrian hit and killed in Melbourne

A 67-year-old man has died after being struck by a car on the Princes Highway at Berwick in Melbourne's southeast.

Police say the man died at the scene after being struck on the highway just before 9.30pm on Saturday.

The female driver of the car is assisting police with their inquiries.
