Pedestrian critical after hit-run in Melb

A man is fighting for life after he was hit by a car in a hit-and-run crash in Melbourne's west.

The 37-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital in a critical condition after he was struck by a car on Anderson Road in Albion about 11pm on Saturday.

Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the crash or have information about the suspected vehicle, a Toyota Camry which will have sustained damage, to contact investigators.
