Woman freed after car crash in Melbourne

A woman trapped in a car has been freed and taken to hospital along with another woman and a child after a crash in Melbourne's east during peak hour.

Police and paramedics were called to a collision at the corner of Station St and Canterbury Rd in Box Hill about 5.25pm on Friday.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the two women were taken to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition, while the child was taken to the Royal Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
